Conservative republican
Stephanie Hilferty

A Watchdog for Louisiana Families

Public Service Commission – District 1

Louisiana families deserve affordable, reliable electricity, and a Public Service Commission that works for the people who pay the bills.

Stephanie Hilferty is running for the Louisiana Public Service Commission to put ratepayers first, hold utility providers accountable, and demand transparency and reliability from the companies that power our state.

Leadership Rooted in Accountability

As a mom of three young children, Stephanie understands how much household budgets matter. No family should worry every month about unpredictable utility bills, and in 2026, no one should fear losing power for weeks after a storm.

The Public Service Commission exists to protect consumers. As a Conservative Republican, Stephanie is running to rein in bureaucracy and make the Commission work for the people.

A Record of Results

State Representative Stephanie Hilferty has served Louisiana in the Legislature since 2016 (10+ years of experience)

Stephanie has built her career by asking tough questions and delivering real outcomes for the people she represents.

Stephanie's accomplishments include:

Led landmark reforms of the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board, strengthened oversight and transparency, cracked down on unfair practices, and saved ratepayers over $20 million by correcting incorrect billing through legislation.

Secured funding for critical drainage and infrastructure improvements to strengthen storm response and protect neighborhoods.

Redirected unused state funds to launch long-awaited street and road repair programs.

Fought against unnecessary tax hikes and bloated bureaucracy in Baton Rouge.

Advanced early childhood education and quality childcare solutions, including securing funding and advocating for system enhancements.

That same proven leadership is what Stephanie will bring to the Public Service Commission, serving as a watchdog for ratepayers, not a rubber stamp.
